Agarose gel electrophoresis of RT-PCT using primer sets designed to detect TSC2 gene-splicing region of the intron between exon 24 and exon 25 (Forward primer: GTCATAGCCATGTGGTTCA, Reverse primer: TCTTGGGTCTCTCGTTGA). RT-PCR with RNA from our patient’s peripheral blood buffy coat and tumor (lymphangioleiomyoma) revealed the intron retention product at 530 bp and splicing product at 163 pp., but negative controls (RNA from peripheral blood buffy coat of two healthy controls) showed splicing product at 163 bp only
